Supporting the cost of Coco’s life saving medical treatment

Assalamualaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh. My five year old cat Coco recently underwent surgery for a serious urinary obstruction which is life threatening for male cats. As pet insurance is not considered Shariah-compliant by the majority of scholars — due to elements of gharar (uncertainty) — I’ve been covering all of Coco’s medical expenses entirely out of pocket.

Unfortunately since the initial surgery didn’t solve the problem, he was referred to a specialist vet who found calcium oxalate stones in his bladder which cannot be treated by a special food diet alone. He is now going through a major surgery called a perineal urethrostomy to prevent the stones from returning. May Allah grant him full shifa.

The cost of his ongoing treatment has become really difficult to manage alone.
